Staten Island, NY – Man in Critical Condition After Accident in Mariners Harbor
Staten Island, NY (October 31, 2018) – According to local police, a 64-year-old man was involved in a motor vehicle accident that left him with serious injuries in Mariners Harbor on Wednesday night, October 31. The accident which occurred at an unspecified time before midnight took place on South Avenue near Amador Street.
The victim who has yet to be identified is believed to have possibly suffered a medical episode that caused him to veer into a wooded area and crash his vehicle. Police were called to the scene along with paramedics in order to administer aid to the injured driver.
The medical episode could not be elaborated upon at this time as the health of the victims’ mishap could have been related to improper medication. The injured party was immediately taken to Richmond University Hospital in West Brighton where he was listed in critical condition.
There have been no more details provided at this time as police are still conducting an investigation into the events that led to this crash.
