Gloversville, NY – DWI Driver Arrested Following Accident Involving Officer
Gloversville, NY (November 1, 2018) – Police stated that a woman who struck an officer on Wednesday night, October 31, was driving under the influence of alcohol at the time. The accident was reported to have happened a little before 7:00 p.m.
According to authorities, 63-year-old Bobbi Trudel was driving when she struck a Gloversville police officer on a bicycle in the area of Church Street and North Arlington Avenue. Police stated that children were trick or treating nearby when Trudel crashed into the officer.
Emergency medical crews along with police arrived on the scene and quickly transported the injured officer to Nathan Littauer Hospital. The victim was reported to have been treated at the hospital and released with relatively minor injuries.
Trudel was placed under arrest at the scene for driving while intoxicated along with other charges. No further information has been provided at this time.
