Chelsea, Manhattan, NY – Pedestrian Struck and Injured by Hit-and-Run Driver
Chelsea, Manhattan, NY (October 29, 2018) – A blatantly negligent driver struck a man in Manhattan on Sunday morning, October 28, at around 1:35 a.m. The driver did not stop to offer assistance to the victim or cooperate with authorities but fled the scene instead.
According to police in Chelsea, the male victim was on 23rd Street in the vicinity of Eighth Avenue when he was sadly struck by a white van traveling at an undetermined speed. Police were promptly called to the scene and arrived a short time later along with paramedics to help the victim and evaluate the crash site.
Emergency crews quickly transported the injured man to a local hospital where he has been listed in critical condition. No further details have been provided at this time.
Police are actively asking the public to come forward with any additional information as they are continuing their investigation into the incident.
