Malone, NY – Two Men Injured in Three-Car Accident on Route 11

Malone, NY (October 27, 2018) – Two men were injured in a three-car accident that took place on Route 11. The men have since been identified by police following the Malone accident.

At the time, police say that 25-year-old Shawn Douglas was driving a 2001 Subaru Forester eastbound around 11:53 a.m. when he had to suddenly stop for traffic.

At the same time, 50-year-old Carl Crant came upon the traffic and rear-ended the Forester, which sent it flying forward into a Dodge Caravan driven by 28-year-old Shane Kirley. Kirley had also been stopped in traffic at the time.

Douglas and Kirley were taken to the hospital by ambulance. Both received neck pain due to the accident.

Crant received a citation for following too closely.
