Staten Island, NY – Pedestrian Struck and Injured by Motorist in New Springville
Staten Island, NY (October 25, 2018) – Officials stated that a pedestrian was struck and injured by a motor vehicle in the area of Marsh Avenue and Ring Road on Thursday afternoon, October 25. The accident was reported to have taken place at around 2:00 p.m., according to a spokesman from FDNY.
The victim of this accident was reported to have been struck near Ring Road, which is the main access road to the Staten Island Mall. Police along with emergency medical crews were on the scene to assist the injured party whose injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening at this time.
Emergency crews at the scene immediately transported to Staten Island University Hospital in Prince’s Bay. Neither the identity nor the current condition of the victim has been provided at this time. Furthermore, there was no word as to whether or not the driver involved in the crash remained at the scene, however, no charges have been filed.
