Goshen, NY – Hit-and-Run Accident Leaves Cyclist in Critical Condition
Goshen, NY (October 23, 2018) – The NYPD was called to the scene of a hit-and-run accident on October 17 around 11 a.m. The accident took place at an intersection and led to injuries. As a result, a bicyclist was struck by a pickup truck in the area of Craigville Road and Hasbrouck Road. The pickup truck driver then fled the scene.
The victim was identified as 51-year-old Brendan Dwyer. He suffered multiple fractures to his body and was taken to the hospital in critical condition. State Police spent time searching for the driver responsible.
Luckily, police were able to find the responsible driver, who was identified as 84-year-old Louis Riso. He was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, a felony, and is expected to return to court.
