Bronx, NY – FDNY Ambulance Hits Car and Injures Three
Bronx, NY (October 23, 2018) – An FDNY ambulance was on its way to a call in the Bronx when it became involved in a crash on Tuesday morning, October 23. Following the crash with another vehicle, the ambulance then continued to slam into an optical store. The accident occurred at around 7:30 a.m.
According to officials at the scene, the accident took place on East Fordham Road at Elm Place. The ambulance was reported to have collided with a Honda Civic before crashing into the store. Police were immediately called to the scene of the crash in order to assist any injured individuals and assess the resulting damages.
According to officials, two FDNY workers were hurt in the crash along with one occupant of the Honda Civic. The current extent of the injuries suffered by those involved has not been released.
No pedestrians were hurt during the accident, and no further information has been made available at this time. Investigators are currently looking into the cause of this crash.
