Bethlehem, NY – Driver Headed in Wrong Direction Causes Head-on Collision
Bethlehem, NY (October 23, 2018) – In Bethlehem, a driver was headed in the wrong direction on the road and caused a head-on collision. The accident happened on the Delmar Bypass and two people were seriously injured as a result today, October 23.
A portion of Route 32 was closed down for over an hour while fire rescue personnel stayed at the scene to take a closer look. They determined that a vehicle had been traveling the wrong way in the westbound lane and struck another car. One of the drivers had to be extricated from their vehicle. Police said that one of the people was taken to the Albany Medical Center with serious injuries.
There has been no information released about either driver. At this time, police continue to investigate.
