Rochester, NY – Police Officer Injured in Motor Vehicle Collision on St. Paul Street
Rochester, NY (October 22, 2018) – A police officer in Rochester is one of two people who was reported to have sustained injuries following a traffic accident on Sunday evening, October 21. Both victims are said to be recovering from their injuries due to the accident that took place around 5:30 p.m. on St. Paul Street.
According to police, the crash occurred after a vehicle pulled out in front of the police cruiser in the vicinity of Strong Street. The impact of the accident was stated to have caused severe damage to the front end of the police car. Paramedics accompanied police officials at the scene as they worked together to help the victims and assess the damage.
Both the police officer and the driver of the other vehicle were reported to have suffered at least minor injuries in the collision. They were immediately transported to a local hospital to be treated for their wounds. The driver of the other vehicle involved was ticketed for failure to yield.
