New York Train Accident
Train accidents might not be as common as other accidents on our roads, but they still happen every year in New York and bring serious results. In fact, you are more likely to lose your life in one of these accidents due to the sheer size and speed alone of these vehicles. If you or somebody you know has been seriously injured in a train accident, you need to know your rights moving forward. We extend our condolences to you at this time.
Trains are considered to be common carriers, which means that they are used to transport people from one location to another for a fee. They also owe a special duty of care to those around the railways, which means that if this duty is not upheld and somebody is seriously injured in an accident, there is a good chance that they will be able to bring a claim against the company or the driver involved.
