Lewisboro, NY – Two People Killed in Fatal Car Accident
Lewisboro, NY (October 21, 2018) – Around 12:35 p.m. today, two people lost their lives in a fatal car accident when one person lost control of their vehicle. The driver and passenger were killed.
At the time, a 2010 Honda was being operated by 70-year-old Ellen Rann, who had been traveling northbound on Interstate 684 in Lewisboro at the time. For reasons that are still being investigated, she crossed over the center lane and crossed into the slow lane. The vehicle struck a tree head-on.
Rann lost her life at the scene of the accident. The passenger in the vehicle with her, a 57-year-old woman from Manhattan, was taken to the hospital and then pronounced dead while there.
The accident is still under investigation by police.
