Staten Island, NY – Young Boy Struck and Injured by Vehicle Near Port Richmond High School

Staten Island, NY (October 18, 2018) – An 11-year-old boy who was crossing the road was sadly struck by a vehicle in the vicinity of Port Richmond High School on Thursday morning, October 18. The accident took place at an intersection near the school at around 7:38 a.m.

The young pedestrian was reported to have been in a crosswalk at the intersection of Nicholas Avenue and Innis Street at the time of the accident. A vehicle struck the child while it was making a right turn. According to reports, the victim suffered injuries that were thankfully classified as minor.

Police and emergency responders were on the scene to help the young victim. Reports stated that a person was taken to Richmond University Medical Center in West Brighton following a call that reported the pedestrian crash at the intersection.

No arrests have been made and no more information has been provided in regards to the events of the accident or the condition of the victim. Authorities are actively looking into the incident.
