New York, NY – M Train Temporarily Cancelled Following Pedestrian Struck on Tracks
New York, NY (October 19, 2018) – One person was sadly struck by a train Friday morning, October 19, subsequently causing severe delays and a cancellation of M train services between Queens and Manhattan. The incident was reported by the MTA at around 8:24 a.m.
The victim was reported to have been struck by the train at Grand Av-Newtown. NYPD along with emergency medical crews were immediately called to the scene to assist the injured pedestrian. The victim was verified to have suffered serious injuries due to the accident, however, the exact extent of injuries is unknown at this time.
Authorities were able to confirm that cancellations ended by 8:45 a.m. In regards to the injured party, there has been no word as to how this accident took place or their current condition. Authorities are likely looking into all aspects of this accident.
