Goshen, NY – Bicyclist in Critical Condition Following Hit-and-Run
Goshen, NY (October 18, 2018) – The New York State Police are currently in charge of an investigation into a hit-and-run accident that injured a bicyclist on Wednesday morning, October 17. The collision between a male bicyclist and a motor vehicle was reported to have occurred at around 11:00 a.m. at the intersection of Craigville Road and Hasbrouck Road.
According to authorities, the vehicle involved was a Dodge Ram pickup truck that fled the scene in an unknown direction immediately after the incident. Police and paramedics were quickly on the scene to assist the victim.
51-year-old Brendan Dwyer, of Monroe, was identified as the injured bicycle rider. He was immediately transported to Orange Regional Medical Center due to multiple fractures to his body. Dwyer has been listed in critical condition because of the severity of his injuries.
Police are currently searching for the Dodge Ram pickup truck involved in the crash and have stated that the truck will likely have heavy damage to the passenger side door and mirror.
