Buffalo, NY – Two Hospitalized Following Head-On Collision on Route 33

Buffalo, NY (October 16, 2018) – Two people were taken to the hospital after a head-on collision that occurred on Monday night, October 15. The crash was reported to have taken place at around 11:30 p.m. on the Kensington Expressway, also known as Route 33 in Buffalo.

Police investigating the incident stated that the crash was caused by a wrong way driver who collided with a vehicle on inbound 33, in the vicinity of Locust Street. Police along with paramedics were immediately called to the scene of the crash to render aid to any victims.

Authorities reported two individuals, the drivers of both vehicles, who were promptly taken to Erie County Medical Center to be treated. No charges have been filed against any of the parties involved at this time.

There have been no further details released in regards to the current conditions of either driver. Investigators are currently looking into the events that led to this accident and whether or not impairment was involved.
