Sennett, NY – Route 34 Closed Following Collision Between a Tractor-Trailer and Backhoe
Sennett, NY (October 15, 2018) – An accident between two large vehicles was reported to have occurred on Route 34 in Sennett on Monday morning, October 15, resulting in the closure of that roadway. The accident which happened between a large backhoe and a commercial tractor-trailer occurred at around 6:00 a.m. just a little north of Auburn.
Route 34 was closed for around three hours between Potter Road and Turnpike Road. Both drivers were immediately transported to a local hospital by first responders at the scene. The injuries of the drivers were reported to be minor.
According to state police, the road was reopened to traffic in all directions as of 9:15. No further information has been provided at this time. Investigators are likely looking into the events that caused this crash.
