Buffalo, NY – Injuries Sustained in Motor Vehicle Crash Involving Police Car
Buffalo, NY (October 15, 2018) – An accident that took place in the early morning hours of Monday, October 15, was reported by the Buffalo Police Department. A police car was stated to have been involved in the crash that occurred at the intersection of Grider Street and Pembroke Avenue at around 2:15 a.m.
According to investigators, a police car that had been traveling north on Grider Street when it collided with another vehicle. The police car involved was responding to a call and its lights and sirens were activated at the time of the collision.
Paramedics along with authorities responded to the crash and arrived in order to assist any injured parties. Reports stated that both the male police officer and the 35-year-old male driver of the other vehicle were immediately transported to Erie County Medical Center to be treated for their injuries.
The police officer is currently being treated for multiple injuries and the other driver has since been released after suffering minor injuries. Police said that no charges have been filed at this time. No further information has been made available.
