Oneonta, NY – Fatal Pedestrian Accident Investigated by Police

Oneonta, NY (October 14, 2018) – The New York State Police are still working on their investigation of a fatal pedestrian accident. The accident took place yesterday, October 13, around 8:18 p.m.

Police say that a 45-year-old female pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. She has since been identified as Katy Doughty. At the time, she had been crossing State Route 23 when she was struck by a vehicle heading east.

Doughty was hit at a time when she was crossing the street without a crosswalk.

The accident is still under investigation by police at this time.
