Niskayuna, NY – Identities of Drivers Involved in Crash Released

Niskayuna, NY (October 5, 2018) – Two drivers who were involved in a collision that resulted in an overturned vehicle and injuries on Wednesday, October 3, have been identified. The crash took place at approximately 2:00 p.m. at the intersection of Route 7 and Balltown Road when two vehicles collided.

19-year-old Devin Farley was traveling east on Route 7 with one passenger when he blew through a red light and subsequently crashed into another vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle, 73-year-old Robert Drost was the only other party involved in the accident.

Farley’s Jeep rolled over onto its side due to the impact of the crash. Firefighters were called to the scene where they freed Farley from the vehicle before he was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Farley’s passenger also suffered minor injuries in the crash, while Drost was reported to have been unharmed.

Farley may face a citation for running a red light, but no further details have been confirmed at this time.
