Norfolk, NY – Driver in Hit-and-Run Arrested Following Investigation

Norfolk, NY (October 2, 2018) – The driver of a vehicle that struck a motorcyclist and then fled the scene has been arrested. Timothy A. Bethel, of Raymondville, hit a motorcyclist from behind, injuring both parties on September 17.

The accident took place at around 4:00 p.m. on Marsh Road. Investigators found certain car parts at the scene, including the Buick emblem from the suspects’ vehicle. The car was located a day later, not far from the crash site.

The victims who suffered rather minor injuries were released from Canton-Potsdam Hospital. According to police, Bethel did not have permission from the owner of the vehicle that he crashed into the motorcyclist. Bethel has now been charged with multiple felonies.
