Staten Island, NY – One Injured in Dongan Hills Collision
Staten Island, NY (October 1, 2018) – A collision involving two vehicles took place at the intersection of Richmond Road and Forest Road in Dongan Hills on Monday, October 1. According to a spokesman with the FDNY, the accident resulted in the injury of one individual.
The injurious crash occurred at around 5:37 p.m. and officials the FDNY responded to the scene immediately. The victim was immediately taken to Staten Island University Hospital North in Ocean Breeze to be treated for their injuries. The FDNY spokesman did not go into detail pertaining to the extent of the victims’ injuries.
Both of the vehicles involved in the collision were reported to have sustained severe front-end damage. Southbound traffic on Richmond Road had to be diverted into the northbound lane following the incident.
No further information has been made available at this time, and neither the name nor current condition of the victim has been released. Authorities are currently conducting an active investigation into the events that led to the incident.
