Wilton, NY (July 5, 2019) – State police have announced the arrest of a man from Wilton who has been accused of rape. William Traver, 39, has been charged with the rape of a 16-year-old girl after police arrested him at his home on Friday, July 5th.
According to authorities, Traver has been accused of engaging in sexual intercourse with the 16-year-old on multiple occasions. Police stated that at least one of the incidents was by force. At this time, there have been no further details provided concerning the exact nature of the alleged abuse.
Police have stated that Traver was arraigned the Town of Wilton Court and is currently being charged with rape, as well as endangering the welfare of a child. Traver has been remanded to the Saratoga County Jail and is being held on $25,000 bail.
