Town of Montgomery, NY – One Hospitalized After Car Crash with Tractor-Trailer

Town of Montgomery, NY (July 4, 2019) – One person was taken to hospital after a collision between a motor vehicle and a tractor-trailer that took place on I-84 Wednesday afternoon, July 3rd. Police stated that the crash happened around 12:00 p.m. near mile marker 27.3, approximately a mile and a half before Exit 5 in the town of Montgomery.
According to state police, the crash occurred between a car and a tractor-trailer in the eastbound lanes of the interstate, resulting in the driver of the vehicle becoming trapped inside. Emergency responders were immediately sent to the scene, where they extricated the driver and transported them to Orange Regional Medical Center in the town of Wallkill.
At this time, the severity of the victim’s injuries has not been reported. The left lane of I-84 eastbound was closed down for over two hours as authorities began their investigation.
