Town of Friendship, NY – Update: Identity of Man Critically Injured in Motorcycle Crash Released

Town of Friendship, NY (July 3, 2019) – Authorities have released the names of those involved in a serious two-vehicle collision that took place on Tuesday, July 2nd, in the town of Friendship. The accident, which involved a motorcycle and another vehicle, happened at 6:38 a.m. along Interstate 86.
Troopers were called to the scene of the crash, where they determined that a 2010 Chevrolet Express van, operated by 46-year-old Alfredo Ramirez, of Rochester, had been heading east on the interstate when he struck the rear end of a 2018 Indian motorcycle. The motorcyclist, now identified as 50-year-old Christopher J. Tomasi, of Cuba, was subsequently ejected from the bike.
Emergency responders were summoned to the scene, where they transported Tomasi to Erie County Medical Center via Mercy Flight. His injuries have been reported as critical at this time. The investigation is presently ongoing.
