Staten Island, NY – One Injured in Four-Vehicle Crash near Expressway

Staten Island, NY (July 1, 2019) – A four-vehicle collision that took place near the Clove Road entrance to the New Jersey-bound Staten Island Expressway left one person injured on Sunday afternoon, June 30th. The multi-vehicle accident was reported to have happened at 2:32 p.m.
Emergency medical crews were called to the scene shortly after the accident occurred, according to an FDNY spokesman. One vehicle was observed with severe front-end damage at the scene, where EMS transported one person to Staten Island University Hospital. At this time, the condition of the victim has not been reported.
Authorities have not released any more information, except to state that traffic had backed up along North Narrows Road toward the expressway as a result of the collision. An investigation into the cause of this incident is actively being conducted.
