Putnam Valley, NY: Minor Injuries Sustained After Car Crash and Fire

Putnam Valley, NY (July 2, 2019) – Traffic was slowed near the border between Putnam Valley and Kent following a car crash that left one person injured early on Tuesday morning, July 2nd. According to authorities, the accident happened around 6:50 a.m. along the Taconic State Parkway.
Police stated that the driver of an unspecified vehicle crashed for unknown reasons, subsequently rolling the vehicle in the process. The car landed off the shoulder of the roadway where it then burst into flames.
Emergency medical crews arrived at the scene a short time later where they treated the victim for at least minor injuries, according to authorities. Northbound lanes of the Parkway were shut down near Exit 31A for approximately 45 minutes but no further information has been released.
The cause of this accident is under investigation.
