Brooklyn, NY – 29-Year-Old Bicyclist Hit and Killed by Cement Truck in Williamsburg

Brooklyn, NY (July 1, 2019) – A 29-year-old woman was reported to have been riding a bicycle when she was fatally hit by a cement truck in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn. The tragic accident was stated to have happened around 12:00 p.m. at the intersection of Boerum Street and Bushwick Avenue.

According to police, the victim, identified only as a 29-year-old woman, was on her bike when she was hit by a cement truck, operated by an unidentified 70-year-old man. The events that led to the accident are unclear at this time.

The driver of the truck remained at the scene, which was stated to have been only two blocks away from his home base. Authorities currently have reason to believe that the accident was not the fault of the driver; however, the investigation is ongoing.
