Coram, NY –Man Arrested for Rape of 14-Year-Old Girl in Long Island

Coram, NY (June 27, 2019) – A man from Long Island who has been accused of raping a 14-year-old girl is under arrest as of Thursday, June 27th, according to police. 33-year-old Ricardo Gurdon was arrested and subsequently charged with first-degree rape, as well as a first-degree criminal sex act.
According to Suffolk County Police officers, they were summoned to an apartment complex located on Country Club Drive in the town of Coram after a teen girl reported an incident of sexual assault. The victim stated that she had been raped by a man in the complex around 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26th.
The initial call prompted an immediate investigation, which led to the arrest of Gurdon. According to authorities, the unidentified teen had no prior relationship with her abuser. No further information has been released at this time.
