Greenburgh, NY (June 27, 2019) – A collision between an SUV and a large truck happened on Wednesday night, June 26th, and resulted in serious injuries, according to police. Authorities stated that the accident occurred along Interstate 87 in the town of Greenburgh around 8:30 p.m.
According to Greenburgh Police, the driver of an SUV ended up rear-ended a truck near Exit 7A for reasons that have not been established at this time. Emergency responders were called to the scene, where they had to tear off the windshield and roof of the SUV in order to extricate the driver. That individual was promptly transported to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla.
A state police trooper stated that the injured party suffered a head injury and is currently listed in critical but stable condition. No further information has been released as police are investigating the cause of this incident.
