Staten Island, NY – Pedestrian Struck and Seriously Injured near Great Kills Park

Staten Island, NY (June 25, 2019) – A woman was struck by a vehicle Monday morning, June 24th, while walking across Hylan Boulevard, near the entrance to Great Kills Park. The serious accident was stated to have taken place at 9:46 a.m. at the intersection with Buffalo Street, according to a spokesman for the FDNY.
A spokesman for the NYPD’s Deputy Commissioner of Public Information stated that the woman was attempting to cross the street when, for unknown reasons, she was struck by a sedan. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene as police and paramedics arrived a short time later.
The injured woman was promptly transported to Staten Island University Hospital in Ocean Breeze, where she is currently listed in stable condition. Authorities are actively conducting a thoroughly detailed investigation into the events that led to this incident.
