Naples, NY – 16-Year-Old Hospitalized After Crash on Bicycle

Naples, NY (June 26, 2019) – After being ejected from his bicycle, a 16-year-old was hospitalized on Tuesday afternoon, June 25th. The incident took place around 1:00 p.m. along State Route 245 in the town of Naples.
According to police, the driver of a Toyota Tundra, identified as 43-year-old Karen Hoefen, was traveling on the aforementioned road when the bicyclist ended up in front of her vehicle. The teen was ejected from the bicycle during the crash and suffered serious injuries.
Naples Fire and Ambulance were called to the scene, along with Ontario County Sheriff’s Deputies and Mercy Flight Central. The victim was promptly airlifted to Strong Hospital, where he is currently listed in guarded condition. No further information has been provided, as the accident is under investigation at this time.
