Mount Morris, NY – Man from Pennsylvania Arrested for Rape in Livingston County

Mount Morris, NY (June 24, 2019) – Police have announced that a man from Pennsylvania has recently been arrested for the rape of a 13-year-old girl in the town of Mount Morris. According to police, Eriberto Cardenas Valentin was arrested a few months after allegations against him were reported to the Sheriff’s Office on January 8th, 2018, which prompted an investigation.
Cardenas Valentin is accused of engaging in sexual activity with a 13-year-old girl back in November of 2017, according to the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office, when the suspect was 18. The incident was stated to have taken place at a residence in Mount Morris, and investigators determined that Cardenas Valentin fled the area shortly after the crime.
The U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force found Cardenas Valentin at a home located in Reading, PA, on May 15th of this year. He was promptly arrested as a fugitive and held at Berks County Prison before being extradited to Livingston County, where he has now been arraigned and remanded into Sheriff’s custody.
