Perinton, NY – House Fire on Ridgeview Drive Leads to Injuries in One

Perinton, NY (June 23, 2019) – Police and firefighters were called to the scene of a house fire on Ridgeview Drive in Perinton that led to injuries in one individual.
According to authorities, the incident took place on Saturday, June 22nd. A homeowner’s son came to the house so that he could let the family pets outside while his family was at a graduation party. When he arrived, he found smoke coming out of the house.
The pets were removed from the home, but unfortunately, they did not all survive. The homeowner’s son received smoke inhalation and an injury to his hand and was transported to the Strong Memorial Hospital.
Police believe that the fire originated in the basement of the home. However, the cause remains under investigation at this time.
