Hauppauge, NY – DUI Accident on Lincoln Boulevard Injures Three

Hauppauge, NY (June 23, 2019) – Police were called to the scene of a DUI accident that took place on Lincoln Boulevard in Hauppauge that injured three individuals.
According to Suffolk County Police, the accident took place when Johnny Mendez was driving a Subaru Impreza northbound on the roadway when his vehicle suddenly veered in the southbound lane and struck a Jeep Cherokee driven by Francis Squillace.
61-year-old Squillace was transported to the Stony Brook University Hospital with serious injuries. Mendez and a passenger were taken to the hospital with minor injuries as well.
18-year-old Mendez has since been charged with driving while intoxicated.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing at this time.
