Lyons, NY (June 20, 2019) – State Police in Lyons announced the arrest of a man facing multiple sex charges as of Thursday, June 20th. According to authorities, 29-year-old Timmy L. Perkins, of Canandaigua, has been arrested on two counts each criminal sex act in the first degree, sexual abuse in the first degree, forcible touching, and endangering the welfare of a child.
Police have not reported on the exact nature of the abuse at this time. However, the arrest came immediately following an investigation into Perkins. The investigation was conducted by both State Police and the Wayne County Child Protective Services, which ultimately resulted in a warrant for Perkins arrest. Due to the inclusion of Wayne County CPS, it is believed that the abuse was against a minor, but authorities have not confirmed the age of the victim at this time.
Perkins was arraigned in Wayne County Court and released on his own recognizance with a court date on August 15th. No further information has been made available.
