Eltingville, Staten Island, NY – Driver in Critical Condition Following Head-on Collision with Bus

Eltingville, Staten Island, NY (June 21, 2019) – Early on Friday morning, June 21st, a motorist was critically injured after collided head-on with a bus in Eltingville. The crash was reported to have taken place around 6:15 a.m. along Richmond Avenue.
According to authorities, the 21-year-old male driver of an unspecified vehicle was traveling northbound on the aforementioned road when he crossed into the opposite lane for unknown reasons. At the same time, a bus was heading south along the same roadway and the vehicles subsequently collided.
Emergency medical crews were immediately called to the accident site, where the driver of the vehicle was transported to Staten Island University Hospital. The victim suffered serious injuries to his lower body and is currently listed in critical condition. The incident is under investigation at this time.
