Niagara Falls, NY – Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Collision with Police Vehicle

Niagara Falls, NY (June 20, 2019) – A crash involving a motorcyclist and a police cruiser is currently being investigated by Niagara Falls Police. The incident was reported to have taken place at the intersection of Third Street and Ferry Avenue around 7:10 p.m. on Wednesday evening, June 19th.
According to police, the cruiser was struck on the passenger side by a motorcycle while traveling east along Ferry Avenue. At the time of the crash, the motorcyclist was heading north along Third Street and it is currently believed that the cruiser may have had the right of way.
Emergency medical crews arrived at the accident site, where they found that a 67-year-old man was thrown from the motorcycle during the collision. The injured party was immediately transported to a local hospital with serious leg and internal injuries. He is currently listed in critical condition, while the officer involved was uninjured in the crash. The events that led to this incident remain under investigation.
