Bethpage, NY (June 20, 2019) – Police have stated that a child was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle in the town of Bethpage on Wednesday, June 19th. According to authorities, the incident occurred at the intersection of Broadway and Dorothy Street at an unspecified time during the afternoon hours.
Officials stated that an unidentified child was hit by a car at or near the aforementioned location, resulting in the presence of police and paramedics at the scene. At the site of the collision, a medical helicopter was called in and the child was immediately airlifted to a hospital minor threatening injuries, according to police.
The driver of the vehicle involved was reported to have stayed at the scene and fully cooperated with authorities. No charges have been filed at this time. However, the events that led to this incident are actively being investigated.
