Auburn, NY – Woman Airlifted to Hospital Following Bicycle Accident at Intersection

Auburn, NY (June 19, 2019) – A woman was reported to have suffered serious injuries after a bicycle accident that took place on Tuesday, June 18th. According to authorities, the incident happened around 12:00 p.m. at the intersection of Dunning Avenue and Clymer Street for reasons that are unclear at this time.
The Auburn Fire Department stated that the victim was riding a bicycle with a group of other people when she was either knocked to the ground or fell from the bike for an unknown reason. Emergency crews arrived at the scene of the incident shortly after it occurred.
The victim was stated to have suffered a head injury during the accident and was initially treated at the scene before an ambulance transported her to Auburn High School. The injured woman was then airlifted to the trauma center at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse via Mercy Flight. There have been no further details released concerning the victim’s current condition.
