Harrietstown, NY – Man Seriously Hurt During Motorcycle Accident

Harrietstown, NY (June 19, 2019) – In the vicinity of the Panther Mountain trailhead on State Route 3, police were dispatched to the scene of a seriously injurious motorcycle accident on Tuesday afternoon, June 18th. Authorities stated that the accident happened around 2:26 p.m. for reasons that are under investigation.
A preliminary investigation showed that Kevin A. Trombley, 59, of Lyme, had been driving a motorcycle east along State Route 3 when he went off the roadway and struck a guardrail located on the south shoulder. Trombley was subsequently ejected from the motorcycle and ultimately landed approximately 24 feet down an embankment.
Emergency medical crews were quickly called to the crash site along with police, where Trombley was airlifted to the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, VT, to be treated for multiple internal injuries. Authorities have not provided the victims’ current condition and the official cause of the crash remains under investigation at this time.
