Marble Hill, NY – Three Firefighters Injured in House Fire on West 227th Street

Marble Hill, NY (June 16, 2019) – Three firefighters were injured in a house fire that happened on West 227th Street around 3:00 a.m. Saturday morning, June 15th.
The fire was classified as a two-alarm fire that broke out around 1:30 a.m. initially and lasted about an hour and a half before firefighters were able to get it under control. There were 75 firefighters working together at the scene.
The fire allegedly started on the first floor of a wooden home and spread into the second floor. The injured firefighters were quickly taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries and all are expected to recover.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation at this time.
