Staten Island, NY: Person Hospitalized After Rollover Crash on EXP

Staten Island, NY (June 14, 2019) – Significant delays for motorists were experienced following an injurious motor vehicle crash that took place on the West Shore Expressway on Friday, June 14th. Police officials stated that the incident occurred at 11:26 a.m. along the Staten Island-bound side of the expressway.
According to a spokesman for the FDNY, the accident was initially reported as an overturned vehicle, although that information has not been further verified at this time. However, authorities were able to confirm that one person was immediately transported to Staten Island University Hospital in Ocean Breeze.
At this time, the severity of the victim’s injuries has been stated as non-life-threatening. Traffic delays lasted until well after 2:00 p.m. and police are thoroughly conducting a detailed investigation into this incident. No further information has been provided.
