Amherst, NY: Woman Charged for DWI and Vehicular Assault

Amherst, NY (June 14, 2019) – A woman is currently facing charges for DWI, as well as vehicular assault, after causing a seriously injurious motor vehicle accident on Friday, June 14th. Authorities have not specified the exact time of the incident but it was reported to have happened along Transit Road.
According to police, a woman, identified as Megan Hardy, was driving along Transit Road when she crashed into another motorist. The impact of the collision resulted in injuries to the 66-year-old driver of that vehicle as police and paramedics descended upon the scene.
Emergency medical crews transported the injured victim to Erie County Medical Center with serious back and head injuries. Police stated that Hardy has been charged with DWI and vehicular assault but the investigation into the crash is ongoing at this time.
