Staten Island, NY – 69-Year-Old Man Admits to Sexual Abuse of Young Girl

Staten Island, NY (June 13, 2019) – A man who was arrested last month for the sexual abuse of a girl under the age of 13 was reported to have admitted to the charges against him. 69-year-old Luis Morales, of New Brighton, admitted on Wednesday, June 13th, that he sexually abused the child on numerous occasions more than ten years ago.

According to authorities, Morales pled guilty to second-degree course of sexual conduct against a child while at the State Supreme Court in St. George. Morales admitted to subjecting the child to sexual contact several times over the course of two years. The abuse took place from May 2006 until June 2008.

The defendant will be sentenced to five years in prison, as well as five years of post-release supervision, in exchange for his plea.
