Shawangunk, NY – Man Arrested for Child Pornography Following Investigation

Shawangunk, NY (June 12, 2019) – On Tuesday, June 11th, state police announced the arrest of a teacher who they have accused of possessing child pornography. 34-year-old Brian Kinsley, of Shawangunk, was arrested and subsequently charged with the felony of possessing a sexual performance by a child, according to authorities.
Kinsley’s arrest came after state police out of Ellenville served him a warrant to search his property. The State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation determined that Kinsley was in possession of child pornography that he had downloaded from the internet. At the time of his arrest, Kinsley was a teacher with the Poughkeepsie City School District, where he had contact with countless children.
Currently, the investigation into Kinsley is ongoing and no further information has been provided.
