Manorville, NY – Man Killed in Car Crash on Long Island Expressway

Manorville, NY (June 12, 2019) – A man was reported to have tragically lost his life during a car crash that may have been due to a medical episode suffered by the victim. While the official cause of the accident is currently under investigation, police have stated that it happened on the Long Island Expressway, just east of Exit 70, around 4:50 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon, June 11th.
According to authorities, William Thomas, 60, of Manorville, was traveling along the expressway in a 2014 Jeep when the vehicle drifted off the roadway and crashed. The Jeep was stated to have overturned as a result of the accident.
Police and paramedics were immediately called to the scene, where they tragically pronounced Thomas deceased. One passenger who was in the vehicle did not suffer any injuries in the incident. No further details have been released.
