Castleton Corners, NY: Ped. Hit and Injured by SUV in Staten Island

Castleton Corners, NY (June 12, 2019) – A serious personal injury accident was reported on Tuesday afternoon, June 11th, after a female pedestrian was struck by an SUV. According to a spokesman for the FDNY, the incident took place at the intersection of Victory Boulevard and Fairview Avenue at approximately 4:00 p.m.
Police accompanied rescue crews and emergency medical responders at the scene, where the woman was found unconscious. A private ambulance company transported the injured victim to a nearby hospital for treatment. However, the nature of her condition is unclear at this time.
According to a witness, the vehicle involved in the accident was a black SUV but it has not been stated as to whether or not that vehicle remained at the scene. The cause of the accident is currently being investigated by police but no further information has been released.
