Wawayanda, NY – Motorcyclist Injured in Collision with Car on Route 17M

Wawayanda, NY (June 11, 2019) – A motorcyclist was involved in an accident with another vehicle on Tuesday afternoon, June 11th, in front of the Shell gas station located on Route 17M, near the intersection with James P. Kelly Way. According to police, the accident happened between a motorcycle and a four-door Mazda hatchback at approximately 1:10 p.m.
A female witness reported seeing some of the crash as she watched the two vehicles collide and saw the male operator of the motorcycle flip off his bike. Police and emergency medical crews were called to the scene immediately, where they transported the injured motorcyclist to Orange Medical Center. The victim’s injuries have been classified as non-life-threatening.
At this time, the driver of the Mazda was uninjured in the accident, and police are still working to determine who may have been at fault.
