Poughkeepsie, NY – Execution of Search Warrant Leads to Man’s Arrest for Child Pornography

Poughkeepsie, NY (June 10, 2019) – Police have recently announced the arrest of a man who has been charged with child pornography. According to authorities, Sean M. Elmendorf, 27, of Poughkeepsie, was arrested on charges of possessing a sexual performance by a child, which is a class E felony.

The arrest of Elmendorf came following a search warrant that was executed on June 3^rd. The warrant was the result of an investigation conducted by the Troop K Computer Crimes Unit with the assistance of the Poughkeepsie Bureau of Criminal Investigation. The search warrant also turned up illegal firearms in the possession of two other people at the same residence.

Elmendorf was arrested and arraigned in the City of Poughkeepsie Court. He has been remanded to jail $7,500 cash bail or $15,000 bond. He is due back in court on Monday, June 10^th.
