Oakwood, NY: Person Injured While Crossing An Intersection

Oakwood, Staten Island, NY (June 11, 2019) – A woman has been hospitalized after being struck by a motor vehicle on Tuesday morning, June 11th. According to police, the injurious pedestrian accident took place at the intersection of Amboy Road and Clarke Avenue at approximately 10:11 a.m.
Authorities stated that the incident occurred as the victim, identified only as a woman who appears to be in her 30s, was crossing Amboy Road in the direction of Amundsen Circle. While walking across the intersection, the woman was struck by an unspecified vehicle. A witness who was working nearby heard the accident and stepped outside her place of employment to call authorities.
Emergency medical crews were dispatched to the scene and the injured pedestrian was immediately transported to Staten Island University Hospital in Ocean Breeze.
